Legislator Anker Recognizes Local Students at NBCOC Annual Dinner

Legislator Anker joins Chamber of Commerce members and Councilwoman Bonner to congratulate this year’s scholarship recipients.

Port Jefferson Station, NY, June 2013 – Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker attended the North Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner on Monday, June 17th. The dinner, held at the Meadow Club, recognized local high school graduates who were awarded with scholarships from the chamber.

“Recognizing and supporting our younger generations is vital for our community because they will provide economic stability for our future,” said Legislator Anker.

The dinner was a display of community support with many local business owners in attendance. Scholarship recipients demonstrated their ability to assist both the community and their school while maintaining a high academic standard. The recipients included Andrew Crawford and David Michael Yonks from Miller Place High School, Chade Walker from Rocky Point High School, Anthony Grippe from Mt.
