As the public feud between the president of the United States and the world's richest man continues to grow, Elon Musk issued a shocking post on the social media platform X - formerly known as Twitter - essentially accusing Donald Trump of being in cahoots with an infamous child sex trafficker.

Musk issued the post Thursday, claiming that the Trump Administration was withholding the so-called "Epstein files," records containing phone contacts and flight logs of Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier and convicted pedophile and sex trafficker who committed suicide inside of his jail cell in August, 2019.

Epstein was alleged to have been extensively involved in the sexual exploitation of women and underage girls, and owned a small private island in the United States Virgin Islands called Little Saint James from 1998 until his death in 2019. During his ownership, the island acquired nicknames such as "Island of Sin" and "Pedophile Island," as it was alleged that sexual abuse of minors occurred there.

Epstein also is said to have flown famous associates - many of whom are purported to be listed in the aforementioned files - to the island on a plane that was nicknamed the “Lolita Express.”

“Time to drop the really big bomb,” Musk posted on X. “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

The Department of Justice had initially released over 100 pages of the Epstein files earlier this year in what was dubbed "Phase One" of their disclosure, but since then has yet to make any more pages public.

Trump and Epstein have had a documented relationship over the years, being photographed at parties in the 1990s; however, it is currently unknown if his name is in Epstein's illicit files, as Musk claims.

During Trump's successful re-election effort, Musk was a huge supporter of his - both financially and on the campaign trail - and once the president was back in the White House, the billionaire tech mogul initially headed up the Department of Government Efficiency (AKA DOGE) to root out wasteful spending, resulting in thousands of federal cuts and layoffs.

While the two appeared to have quite the amicable relationship at first, Musk split from Trump on his so-called "Big Beautiful Bill," a government spending plan currently in the Senate that experts say could add billions of dollars to the national debt while potentially wiping out healthcare for millions of Americans.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk posted on X about Trump's signature bill. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

In response, Trump called Musk “crazy” and threatened to cut off government contracts with his companies.

The rift between Musk and Trump continued to grow, with the two sparring on social media and trading insults, leading up to today's shocking accusation by the Tesla CEO.

The White House or Trump have yet to respond the Musk's incendiary claim.
