ELEVATED THREAT OF WILDFIRE SPREAD CONTINUES ON WEDNESDAY Dry conditions with the combination of low relative humidity values between 20 and 30 percent along with frequent wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph will create another day of elevated risk for fire spread. On 5/27/15 at 4:24 AM, Farmingdale troopers were dispatched to a report of a disabled vehicle on the eastbound Southern State Parkway exit ramp for exit 29(Route 107).

Bethpage, NY - May 27, 2015 - On 5/27/15 at 4:24 AM, Farmingdale troopers were dispatched to a report of a disabled vehicle on the eastbound Southern State Parkway exit ramp for exit 29(Route 107).  When troopers located the vehicle, a black Lincoln Town Car Limousine, the driver was asleep at the wheel on the exit ramp.  When the troopers woke the operator, Cristian Quizhpi, age 33, of Ozone Park NY, they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage.  Mr. Quizhpi failed sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for DWI.  The limousine is registered to VIP Transportation Inc. in Ozone Park NY 

The defendant provided a positive breath sample of .17% BAC.  Mr. Quizhpi was charged with DWI and for Vehicle Stopped on the Highway.  All charges returnable in Nassau County First District Court
on 6/8/15 at 9:00 AM.
