When MB Ramen opened in Huntington it had a funky, hip-hop vibe thanks to chef Mark Bynum. In a review of the Huntington ramen spot, Newsday said  Bynum associated noodles with hip-hop “because when he was a child, grocery store ramen was eaten with friends listening to Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G. and Nas.”

That led to the electric design in the store and the website.

Bynum had been perfecting ramen on Long Island and after he parted ways with the restaurant in Huntington, he since opened his own ramen food truck parked in Farmingdale.

That hasn’t stopped the Machado brothers who are now planning a new location in Port Washington. For now, details are scarce but expect more of the same graffiti energy in the style and flavor.

Check back for updates on the opening of the new noodle shop.

Location: 57 Main Street, Port Washington.
