Rockville Centre has recently become home to Long Island’s latest dining sensation, The Ainsworth, a classy and atmospheric venue comprised of a full-scale restaurant, bar and lounge, and specializing in a variety of mouth-watering dishes, spread out over brunch, lunch, and dinner offerings.

The Ainsworth is a chain of upscale restaurants with several locations in New York; due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ownership of the Rockville Centre location knew they wanted to get involved with a brand that resonated well with both Long Island residents as well as people who were moving in from Manhattan as well, so they struck up a licensing deal to bring The Ainsworth to Long Island.

The Ainsworth of RVC – located at 210 Merrick Road – first opened their doors for business in mid-March, with the intention of delivering a fine-dining restaurant experience to their patrons. The establishment features a great many interesting dishes, but is first and foremost a chop house, boasting everything from filet mignon to surf n’ turf to tomahawk steaks to pork chops. However, The Ainsworth also has many other popular dishes catering to a variety of culinary tastes, including salmon, salads, burgers, and more.

Designed with an upscale “city” feel, The Ainsworth features a chic décor with trees and an imported Irish crystal chandelier, yet nonetheless possesses a casual, laid-back vibe. In addition, the bar has an extensive craft cocktail list with a vast wine and beer selection as well.

The ownership selected RVC for the location of The Ainsworth due to their involvement in the previous dining establishment at that location, known as Parlay; after that restaurant closed down after seven years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, management felt that they needed to switch gears to a different type of restaurant while still desiring to serve the residents of RVC. Thus, the decision to open The Ainsworth in the same location – albeit with a great deal of renovation and redesign – was a natural decision.

Parlay had always had a sterling reputation for their excellent brunch service, and while a new direction was wanted for The Ainsworth’s overall dining experience, brunch was one aspect of the past that the owners wanted to carry over.

The Ainsworth’s dining hours run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday; however, they have recently expanded their service and have instituted a very well-received afternoon brunch and lunch, with hours running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

And for those who are still somewhat leery about dining out while the pandemic is still ongoing, The Ainsworth’s management wishes to ensure all patrons that they adhere strictly to all state and local guidelines concerning social distancing, mask-wearing, temperature-taking, occupancy limits, and cleaning and sanitizing, ensuring that the health and well-being of both customers and staff are their highest priority at all times.

The Ainsworth also features catering and event-hosting for anything from birthday parties to anniversary celebrations to bachelorette parties and anything in-between, for both brunch and dinner service.

Since opening their doors for business, The Ainsworth has been receiving a very positive reaction from the RVC community and beyond – with the restaurant doing great business – and the ownership wishes to extend their appreciation and an invitation to one and all to come down and enjoy what they have to offer.
