Mastic, NY - April 13th, 2015 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to steal money from a Mastic store last month.
A man entered Soft and Box Smoke Shop, located at 1530 Montauk Highway, displayed a silver revolver handgun, handed the clerk a bag and demanded money on March 26 at 10:30 a.m. The clerk refused and forced the man to leave the store.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, 5 feet 9 inches tall to 5 feet 11 inches tall with a stocky build.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
