Suffolk County Police today arrested a Fort Salonga man for shooting a man at a Northport bar last night.

Northport, NY - January 6th, 2013 - Suffolk County Police today arrested a Fort Salonga man for shooting a man at a Northport bar last night.
 
Steven Reilly Jr. became engaged in a physical altercation, for an unknown reason, with an East Northport man at Napper Tandy’s Irish Pub, located at 229 Laurel Ave., when Reilly Jr. shot the victim in the leg at 10:30 p.m.
 
The victim, 21, was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was treated and released.
 
After an intensive investigation, Second Squad detectives arrested Reilly Jr. at his home today. Reilly Jr., 39, of 30 Fresh Pond Road, was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd Degree. He will be held overnight at the Second Precinct for his arraignment tomorrow at First District Court in Central Islip.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
