Nassau County, NY - April 9, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, in partnership with Cox Media Group Long Island’s 102.3 WBAB and 106.1 BLI, are offering Long Island families the rare opportunity to explore, sit in and take photos with over 40 unique trucks and vehicles that are usually off limits.

The “Touch- A- Truck” event, will have vehicles on-site for kids to sit in, climb on, and take photos with trucks that include: Big Rigs, Fire and Rescue Trucks, Police Vehicles, a world-champion Racing Boat, 175-Foot Boom Crane, 5- Ton Military Vehicle, Dump Truck, Bulldozer, Backhoe and Bucket Truck.

The event offers families free commemorative photos in the Vanity Photo Booth, Food Vendors, Moon Bounces and other inflatable activities, a Video Game Truck, Petting Zoo, and much more! Admission to “Touch-A-Truck” is free. Raffle prizes will be available with all proceeds benefitting the John Theissen Children’s Foundation.

As we all know it can get LOUD at this type of event, so families with special needs and sensitive ears are also invited to avoid the noise by attending our “Horn- Free Hour” from 10am-11am. Children can still experience all the fun of “Touch-A- Truck”, without the loud music, horns and sirens.
