Smithtown, NY - April 7, 2016 - Suffolk County Legislator Robert Trotta praised John Davignon of Kings Park for achieving the esteemed rank of Eagle Scout. John has been active in scouting since becoming a Tiger Cub in 2004 and then joining Troop 75 in 2009 and advancing with various ranks to that of Eagle Scout. John has held numerous leadership posts during his scouting years. 
 
For his Eagle Scout Leadership Project, John supervised other scouts, friends and family members to replace a deteriorating railroad-tie retaining wall at the Kings Park American Legion Hall with a new one made of stone blocks. John held car washes to raise the money to purchase the supplies. 
 
“This prestigious award is a testament to your character and leadership skills and is something that you have accomplished while still a teenager and it is a recognition that will stay with you for the rest of your life,” said Suffolk CountyLegislator Rob Trotta, who represents the district. “What you have done is very impressive and we all expect great things from you in the future,” added Legislator Trotta.
