The Third Squad reports the arrest of an undomiciled man for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 12:05 AM in Mineola.
 
According to detectives, officers were in the vicinity of Old Country Road and Willis Avenue when they observed defendant Christopher Douso, 58, riding a bicycle who they knew to actively have open Nassau County Warrants for his arrest. Officers attempted to place the defendant under arrest but he fled northbound on Willies Avenue and then turned Eastbound on Third Street. When officers caught up to the defendant, he resisted arrest causing one officer to sustain minor injuries. He was eventually placed under arrest without any further incident. The injured officer was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Defendant Christopher Douso is charged with Assault 2 nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2 nd Degree. His actives warrants include charges of two counts of Burglary 3 rd degree, Criminal Trespass 3 rd degree, Criminal possession of Controlled Substance 7 th degree and two counts of Trespassing. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
