New Cassel, NY - April 5th, 2014 - The Third Squad reports the arrests of four individuals for an Attempted Grand Larceny that occurred on April 3, 2014 at 10:00pm in New Cassel.
 
According to Detectives, defendants Wendy Suprien, 20, of 173 Elizabeth Street New Cassel; Scharday Hilton, 28, of 15 6th Avenue Huntington Station; Wisard Dextra, 20, of 941 Broadway Westbury and Sheyla Diaz, 19, of 245 East 178th Street Apt. 1B Bronx all acting in consort did devise a plan to call the ‘victim’s’ family stating that there was a kidnapping and demanded $2000.00 US currency for the safe return of the ‘alleged’ victim.  On April 5, 2014 at 12:20am the Police Investigation led to the defendants being located at the EconoLodge Motel in Hicksville.  As Officers entered the room they found all occupants to be in good health and in no duress, they also observed on a desk a clear plastic bag believed to contain Methyldioxymethamphetamine.  There in fact was no victim of a kidnapping or any other crime.
 
All four defendants are each charged with one count of Grand Larceny 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Conspiracy 4th Degree and Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd Degree.  In addition, defendant Dextra is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree and defendant Diaz is charged with Prostitution.  Defendants will be arraigned on April 5, 2014 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
Defendant Christopher Dodge, 53, of 25 Winding Lane Levittown was in the same room but not involved in the above listed incident.  He is charged with Patronizing a Prostitute and released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to First District Court on April 22, 2014.
