FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT SATURDAY THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York, including the following areas, in southern Connecticut, Northern Middlesex, Northern New Haven, Northern New London, Southern Middlesex, Southern New Haven, and Southern New London. In southeast New York, Northeastern Suffolk, Northwestern Suffolk, Southeastern Suffolk, and Southwestern Suffolk. * From 2 AM EDT Saturday through Saturday evening * A slow moving frontal system will approach the region early Saturday. Heavy rain will become likely early Saturday and last through Saturday afternoon. Total rainfall amounts will be around 1 inch with locally higher amounts possible. Excessive runoff will be possible which would lead to flooding of urban and poor drainage areas. In addition, smaller rivers and streams could overflow their banks.

Police Seeking Multiple Suspects in 2012 Assault and Homicide Committed in New Cassel

On May 14, 2012, Dennis Marroquin was assaulted by unknown male subjects and later succumbed to his injuries.

NCPD are seeking unknown subjects responsible for the 2012 Assault/Homicide of Dennis Marroquin (pictured above) that occurred in New Cassel, N.Y.

New Cassel, NY - April 4, 2017 - Crime Stoppers and the Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad are seeking the public’s help with locating, and identifying unknown subjects responsible for an Assault/Homicide that occurred in New Cassel, N.Y.
During the early morning hours of Monday, May 14, 2012, the pictured victim Dennis Marroquin was assaulted by unknown male subjects in the vicinity of Prospect Avenue, and Brooklyn Avenue in New Cassel. As a result of this assault, the victim succumbed to his injuries on March 10, 2017.
