Central Islip, NY - March 13, 2014 - A 35 year old Lindenhurst man arrested for forcing two females, one a teenager, to work as prostitutes, has been indicted by a grand jury, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Andrew AKA “Andy” Gayot, was arrested last month when probation officers secured a search warrant for his residence at 258 North Greene Ave.

“Cocaine, heroin and other narcotics were seized and the police investigation established Gayot intimidated these victims and used physical abuse and narcotics to compel them into prostitution,” District Attorney Spota said.

The victims are 15 and 21 years old.

Gayot is incarcerated in the county jail in lieu of $1,002,500 bond.

He is currently charged with compelling prostitution, three counts of promoting prostitution, rape in the third degree, unlawful imprisonment, weapons charges, criminal possession of a controlled substance and other crimes, DA Spota said.

State Supreme Court Justice Fernando Camacho will unseal Gayot’s indictment tomorrow (Thursday March 13) in the Central Islip courthouse.
