Several Nursing Homes have posted on their websites about the coronavirus and the cautions they are taking to limit their patients risk.

East Neck Nursing & Rehabilitation Center - West Babylon, NY

"In response to the latest developments around COVID-19: If you are experiencing symptoms of fever, shortness of breath, cough, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea please do not visit the facility until 24 hours after your signs/symptoms have resolved. We want to ensure the health of our staff and residents by enforcing the standards recommended."

Good Samaritan Nursing Home - Sayville, NY

"CHS is prepared and has implemented prevention and control protocols to appropriately isolate patients who enter our facilities to prevent the potential transmission of infection and protect you. All clinical personnel are educated on the latest CDC and New York State Department of Health coronavirus guidelines and recommendations. 'At all CHS hospitals’ emergency departments, in our skilled nursing facilities and throughout our regional nursing service, we are actively screening, asking patients about recent travel and looking for signs and symptoms of the virus."

Huntington Hills Center for Health and Rehabilitation - Melville, NY

We are stringently following guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State Departments of Health, including, but not limited to, admission screening and infection control protocols. We are also adhering to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for employee, patient and visitor screenings and precautions in all of our Centers.

Please be advised that we are limiting visiting hours to 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in all of our locations except for Connecticut.

Under the Connecticut Department of Health directives, we are immediately restricting all visitors except for when a current health state (e.g. end-of-life) is in question."

Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center - West Islip, NY

"If you believe you or your family members may have been in contact with an individual diagnosed with COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus, please call your health care provider to alert them of this potential exposure.  In addition, if you have flu-like symptoms (fever, headache, cough, muscle aches and joint pain), also call your health care provider first for instructions."

Peconic Bay Skilled Nursing Facility - Riverhead, NY

“The health system has been utilizing its Emergency Operations Center, which allows Northwell to quickly mobilize system-wide resources, personnel and supplies — medications, N95 protective respirators and other personal protective equipment. Due to its proximity to JFK International Airport, Northwell has also taken several precautions at its hospitals and ambulatory practices to ensure the safety of all patients and staff.”
