Winter Storm Warning Issued: 4-8 Inches of Snow Expected Tonight into Thursday Morning

With up 8 inches possible tonight into tomorrow, the NWS has upgraded the Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for Wednesday into Thursday.

Update - Wednesday Morning: Tonight's Winter Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning, beginning tonight at 7 PM, and staying in effect until Thursday evening at 7 PM. The NWS is calling for a mix of sleet and heavy snow, with snowfall rates of up to 1 inch an hour tonight into tomorrow morning.

Following tonight's wet wintery mix, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook starting Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm through to Thursday at 7:00 pm. 

During this time, the NWS has advised drivers to be prepared for slippery roads and greatly reduced visibility. Be cautious of heavy snow, sleet or freezing rain that will make traveling difficult. Freezing rain is expected to turn to plain rain by midnight tonight and snow accumulation will be around 4-8 inches, beginning Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon.
