The Third Squad reports the arrest of a man for an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 2:03 pm in East Meadow.
According to Detectives, Defendant Anthony C. Gomez, 21, of 252 E. Haverhall Street, Lawrence, Massachusetts while being admitted as a patient into Nassau University Medical Center located at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike became aggressive with medical personnel.
Police Officers at scene intervened in an attempt to subdue the defendant when he bit an officer on the leg. The defendant was placed under arrest without further incident. The officer was evaluated and treated for his injuries.
Defendant Anthony C. Gomez is charged with Assault 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead when medically practical.
