One lucky Long Islander probably didn't think twice when strolling into their local Convenience store to buy a lottery ticket...until that lottery ticket ended up scoring them a cool $50,000, that is.
The third-prize winning Powerball ticket for the drawing held on Monday, February 19 was sold at the 7-Eleven at 497 Stewart Avenue in Bethpage, according to New York State Lottery officials.
The extremely fortunate winner now has up to one year from the drawing date to claim their prize.
