Freeport, NY - February 9th, 2015 - First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Freeport on Sunday, 02/08/15 at 5:22 P.M.
According to detectives, a male subject approached a female victim, 53, from behind on Henry St./Newton Blvd. and forcibly removed her handbag, which contained cash, credit cards, and personal papers. The subject fled on foot eastbound on Sunrise Hwy.
No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as a male black, 5’10”, in his early 20’s, and wearing a red and black hooded sweater. No further description is available.
