About Slide:
What if Clint Eastwood and Mel Brooks became cartoonists to create the wackiest, most surreal musical western ever? The result might be legendary animator Bill Plympton’s mythical cowboy showdown with eco-villains intent on paving over idyllic Sourdough Creek. Plympton’s wit and surreal animation takes on the fight for the wild west’s fading glory, peppered with swinging western tunes penned by musician & singer Maureen McElheron. In December 2023, Slide won the Los Angeles Animation Festival’s Best Feature Film and Best Feature Director.  (2024, 80 min)

Plympton describes Slide as, “different from any other animated film I’ve ever seen”.
