Riverhead, NY - January 23rd, 2014 - The Suffolk Theater located on Main Street in Riverhead has hired fourth generation local Diane Tucci as Director of Marketing. A degree based in business and marketing along with a well-rounded background in media made Diane an ideal candidate for this position.
Tucci brings with her twenty years of media experience with a variety of skills. Her tenure at the theater started as the resident photographer before renovations began, photographing the construction from inception to present day. She’s experienced in studio lighting and portrait photography and is a seasoned performance and event photographer. Growing up developing photos in a darkroom alongside her father is what led to her love and passion for photography and the arts and eventually her own business which she started in 1994. Her outside the box thinking and creativity is captured not only in her photos but led her to take on her new position.
With an established career based in the entertainment industry, Diane has worked as a freelance art director and marketing consultant for several large corporations and individuals, which includes jazz legend Al Di Meola. She has been a photographer for several publications over the years which include The Suffolk Times, The News Review, Good Times Magazine, Circus Magazine, The Angle, Riverhead Patch and RiverheadLOCAL – specializing in community, events and business coverage. Her master Photoshop and design skills are promising assets that she brings to the graphic design aspect of her job which includes planning and designing of all marketing materials as well as house photographer. Other duties include managing social media and the theater’s website, working with print and radio advertisers, planning and budgeting marketing production, planning marketing strategies for both the venue and the shows and working with all staff members in communication marketing strategies.
Diane was born and raised in Riverhead and attended the theater as a kid. Her goal is to bring awareness to the theater and its new diverse programming to the surrounding communities in order to establish it being a successful cornerstone to the revitalization of Downtown Riverhead. “I have a great respect for the hard work and dedication of owners Bob and Dianne Castaldi” she stated. She embraces her new position as a contributor to its successful future and as a mom with children in Riverhead, she looks forward to helping the theater provide the community a place of culture and arts unlike any other on Long Island.
