Suffolk County in southeastern New York... * Until 415 PM EDT. * At 241 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen with an additional half to one inch of rain expected. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Medford woman who suffers from dementia and a heart condition.

Naomi Simpson, 77, of Medford, is missing and suffer from dementia and a heart condition. Anyone with information about Simpson’s location is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652 or call 911.

Update - January 16, 2017 - Naomi Simpson was located, unharmed.

Medford, NY - January 15, 2017 - The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Medford woman who suffers from dementia and a heart condition.

Naomi Simpson, 77, of Medford, was last seen on Gray Avenue in Medford on January 13.  She is believed to be on foot.

Simpson is black, 5 feet 5 inches tall and approximately 120 pounds. She has gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Simpson’s location is asked to contact Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652 or call 911.

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
