Three Busted for Drug Possession During Manhasset Traffic Stop, According to Authorities

Manhasset, NY - January 11, 2019 - The Third Squad reports the Arrest of three individuals for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. in Manhasset.
 
According to detectives, police observed a white 2017 Hyundai make an illegal turn onto Community Drive from N. Service Rd.  Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law Stop. The vehicle was found to be stolen from New York City. Three (3) subjects were removed from the car and placed into custody. Officers observed two bags in the car containing assorted pills believed to be controlled substances. Further investigation revealed the bag contained Ketamine and Crystal Methamphetamine, among other narcotics.
 
The driver of the vehicle, defendant Shawn McNeill, 40, of Riverhead, is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and seven (7) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
 
Defendant Victor Devagno, 60, of Oakland Gardens, is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and eight (8) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
 
Defendant Michelle Cardwell, 28, of Brick, NJ, is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and six (6) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree.
 
The defendants will be arraigned on Friday, January 11, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
