Officials: Suspect Wanted for Assault, Robbery of Franklin Square Gas Station Clerk

An unknown male approached a male employee of Sunoco, forcibly pushed the victim, and demanded cash, cops say.

Franklin Square, NY - January 9, 2019 - Fifth Squad detectives report the details of a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, January 08, 2019 at 8:40 pm in Franklin Square.
 
According to detectives, an unknown male approached a male employee of Sunoco located at 355 Franklin Avenue and informed the employee he wanted to purchase cigarettes. The employee entered a booth to complete the transaction. At this time, the subject forcibly pushed the victim, 26, and demanded cash from the register. The victim complied and the subject fled the scene northbound on Franklin Avenue with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
