Smith Point Park is Suffolk County’s largest oceanfront park. Smith Point is located on the Fire Island barrier beach and is a mecca for sportsman, surfers and beach lovers alike. Smith Point offers 270 campsites for tents and trailers on its 2,293 acres with playgrounds, water/electric hookups, grills and snack bar. Campers and tourists will be able to explore the ocean’s floor while scuba diving, catch some waves, try their luck at saltwater fishing or indulge in relaxation on the sandy beach.
