This popular 18-hole public golf course opened in 1992 as a full-service facility. The 6,252-yard course has a par 71 value, a 69.8 rating and a 128 slope. Golfers enjoy the tree-lined fairways and wide playing area; however, every hole from starting tee to green is surrounded by rather dense woods and navigation can be challenging for beginners. The greens roll and slope slightly. There is only one water hazard. Holbrook has been called “Long Island’s best kept secret.” In addition to the golf course, the property has a 16-stall driving range, 3,500 square feet of practice area and golf lessons for all ages and skill levels. Monthly and seasonal rates are available. Golfers can also enjoy “The Wedges Pub” and the “Tri Restaurant,” which are open to the public six days a week for lunch and dinner.
