Annual host to tournaments and golf outings, this 18-hole private links-style golf course was originally designed by Walter Travis in 1916. Since then, Devereux Emmet, Frank Duane, Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva have all redesigned the layout for maximum enjoyment and challenge. The course has a length of 6,705 yards from the longest tees, a par value of 72, a rating also of 72 and a slope of 127. Small fast greens, water hazards and comfortable fairways combine to make this a fun place to play for golfers of all skill levels. For those who wish to spend some time improving their skill set, an 8-tee driving range, chipping area and practice bunker are on site. The in-house teaching professional offers private and group lessons. Walking is allowed, but both rental carts and caddies are also available. In addition to the Pro shop, Cherry Valley has its own full bar, restaurant and snack bar for the convenience of its members and their guests. The course is open year-round, weather permitting.
