Tim Kelly's "The Butler Did It!"
THE MINSTREL PLAYERS ANNOUNCE THEIR FALL 2011 PRODUCTION!
The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport Village kick off their 2011-2012 Season Tim Kelly's hilarious murder-mystery/comedy, "The Butler Did It!". They are coming off their successful spring staging of Mr. Ludwig's, "Lend Me a Tenor". Production will run Saturdays, October 29 and November 5th at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays, October 30 and November 6 at 3:00 P.M. matinee performances at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village.
"The Butler Did It!" is directed by Minstrel founding member, Ray Palen, and features a cast of old and new faces to the Minstrel family. The cast for this comic romp includes: Roseann Baldanza (Sr. White), Susan Geffken Burton (Rita Eyelesbarrow), Evan Donnellan (Peter Flimsey), Tricia Ieronimo (Haversham), Elizabeth Jaeger (Charity Haze), Kevin Kelly (Rick Carlyle), Carl Nehring (Louie Fan), Karen Ottomano (Miss Maple), Ray Palen (Chandler Marlowe), and Tara Palen (Laura Carlyle). The 'World Class' crew is rounded out with Robert Cashman - Technical Director, Debbie Palen - Assistant Director, Kelly Quinn - Stage Manager and Bernie Caprera - Lighting Director.
"The Butler Did It!" features characterizations of some of the most famous fictional detectives of all time: Charlie Chan, Peter Wimsey, Sam Spade, Nick and Nora Charles, among others. The eccentric Miss Maple invites the authors to Ravenswood Manor (located off the coast of San Francisco on Turkey Island) for a weekend of murder-mystery games. Miss Maple insists that the authors all spend the weekend as their "fictional creations". Throw in a wicked thunderstorm and an actual murder and you have the makings for a wild weekend! The show has many twists and turns and keeps the audience guessing in the manner of a classic who-done-it.
