ROSLYN, NY - Roslyn's Gloria Ciolli, MSW, CSW, ACSW, LMSW, who jointly heads Mediation & Collaborative Action Group of Melville, NY recently received state recognition after having won The Sally Ann Slacke Memorial Award/Linda Jasper Memorial Award from Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition's (SCWBEC) Research & Education Fund for developing an exemplary business model. Ciolli, a licensed social worker and conflict specialist of more than 20 years, was personally presented with a special Legislative Resolution from New York State Senator Jack M. Martins (R-Mineola) that commended her on her latest business achievement.

"Gloria has shown the courage and fortitude it takes to run a successful business," says Senator Martins. "I believe we should be honoring those residents who fulfill their dreams of going into business. She is also a role model for businesswomen throughout our communities. It was my pleasure to recognize her with a Senate Resolution. We need to encourage entrepreneurship in our state and Gloria has set a wonderful example for all who are thinking about their own business."

Ciolli, along with her business partner Rita Medaglio-Barrera of Hauppauge, NY, was selected as the recipient for The Sally Ann Slacke Memorial Award/Linda Jasper Memorial Award this past Spring after submitting a detailed essay and business plan outlining strategy for achieving growth and success for their home-grown company, which specializes in addressing and resolving family and business conflicts without threat of litigation through methods of mediation and collaboration. Upon receiving her NYS congratulatory proclamation from Senator Martins, Ciolli was joined by Medaglio-Barrera, who was presented with her very own resolution from New York State Senator Lee M.
