Late Night Collision in Valley Stream Leads to Arrest of Brooklyn Woman on Multiple Charges

A Brooklyn woman, Keyana Mccray, has been arrested and charged with DWI, Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree, and Assault 2nd Degree after colliding head-on with another vehicle in Valley Stream, injuring multiple individuals

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a Brooklyn woman for an incident that occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 4:00 am in Valley Stream.
 
According to Police, a 33-year-old female was traveling westbound on Merrick Road in a 2020 BMW near the intersection of Rockaway Avenue when she collided head on with a 2020 Chevrolet operated by a 51-year-old female.
 
After a thorough investigation the operator of the BMW, Keyana Mccray, 33, of 484 East 94 th Street, was placed under arrest without incident. Defendant Mccray and a 43-year-old male passenger were both removed to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.
 
The operator of the Chevrolet was removed to a local hospital for serious internal injuries where she is currently in stable condition.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
 
Defendant Mccray is charged with two (2) counts of DWI, Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree and Assault 2 nd Degree. She will be arraigned when medically practical.
