On Thursday August 24, 2023 around 2:45pm the State Police responded to a crash on the Meadowbrook State Parkway in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County.
A 2001 BMW 325, driven by Mubashir Hossain 21 of East Elmhurst, NY, was traveling northbound on the Meadowbrook State Parkway when his vehicle crossed over the center median into the southbound lanes and struck a 2020 Toyota Sienna head on.
Hossain and his passenger suffered serious injuries and were taken to Nassau University Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Toyota was the only occupant in the vehicle and was also transported to Nassau University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU), and Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) also responded to the scene.
