The Third Squad reports the arrest of a man for an Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 8:55 pm in Garden City Park.
According to Detectives, a female victim, 57, was involved in a disturbance with a male at his Garden City Park residence. Defendant Andy Yeung, 58, of 57 Schumacker Drive stabbed the victim multiple times before witnesses heard yelling, then assisted the victim and called police.
The victim was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of her injuries and is listed in critical but stable condition.
The defendant was arrested without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
Defendant Andy Yeung is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 1st Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
