The Harbormen Barbershop Chorus presents the Good Shepherd Hospice with a check as part of their proceeds from this years singing valentines program.

The Long Island Harmonizers Barbershop Quartet representing The Harbormen Barbershop Chorus presented a check in the amount of $300.00 to MaryEllen Polit CEO of the Good Shepherd Hospice Residence Center in Port Jefferson Station on June 27h.  The check was a portion of the proceeds received by the chorus during their Singing Valentine Program last February.  This brings the total amount donated this year to $600.00.  This money will be going to towards the new Inpatient Hospice Resident Center adjacent to St. Charles Hospital.  The Harbormen have raised over $12,000 for the Good Shepherd Hospice over the past 12 years through their Singing Valentines Program, Annual Shows and various paid performances.  The Good Shepherd Hospice is the chorus’s local community project.
 
The members of the quartet are:  Bob Freudenberg-Baritone, Gary Wilson-Bass, Herb Mordkoff-Lead and Dave Lance-Tenor.
 
The Harbormen Barbershop Chorus meets every Monday evening at 7:30PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 380 Nicolls Road  Stony Brook, NY 11790.  Visitors are always welcome.  We welcome men over 18 to come join us in some wonderful a-capella harmony, friendship and community service.  For information about the chorus please contact Herb Mordkoff at 631-928-4373.  Free refreshments at each rehearsal.
