As it contains both spring's finale and the long-awaited beginning of summer, it's no surprise that June is absolutely overflowing with family activities here on Long Island. Once the school finals have been taken, kids across Nassau and Suffolk will be able to enjoy not only the beautiful summer weather, but all of the events that accompany it!

Dozens of Festivals and Fairs are scheduled throughout the month, giving Long Islanders a chance to enjoy thrilling rides, shop for one-of-a-kind crafts, and enjoy sugary treats. As if those weren't enough, there is also a great selection of Concerts and Live Performances, from Jones Beach to local town concert series, that will keep feet tapping throughout the month!

Don't forget to show Dad how much he means to your family when Father's Day arrives on June 17th! Whether he's into car shows or sports, there are some exciting events that he's definitely going to want you to take him to.

The 118th U.S. Open Championship will be held at the prestigious Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton across seven days this June. Dozens of golfers are expected to participate in the signature competition. The championship will consist of practice rounds and four championship rounds, as well as a pre-championship merchandise opening and a possible playoff round.
