Scattered power outages are expected. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Use extra caution. , "Special Statement" ...Very slippery conditions through tonight... temperatures will plummet through tonight well below freezing. As these temperatures fall, plenty of residual moisture and leftover standing water on area roads will freeze, or remain frozen. This will lead to areas of black ice. Creative art scenes aren’t limited to Manhattan and Brooklyn anymore. Long Island’s art scene is booming! Many of Long Island’s towns are starting up their own performing arts centers for theater lovers and art appreciators alike. From major off-Broadway productions to one-man shows to children’s theater, you’ll find them all in Long Island’s theaters for half the price and half the travel time than if you were heading to The Great White Way itself – Broadway that is.  Some theaters even hold live music events, such as the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts which regularly holds concert events in its lobby. Enjoy all that Long Island’s downtown has to offer with unique eateries and bars before or after the show. You simply can’t go wrong.
