STONY BROOK, N.Y. - Today, March 29th, 2023, Rep. Nick LaLota (NY-01) announced the renewal of a research grant at Stony Brook University. Through the grant, Stony Brook will receive $255,304 in federal funding.

“Long Islanders are very familiar with the incredible work that is done at Stony Brook University and it is great to see this acknowledged by the federal government,” said LaLota. “For every dollar in federal taxes my constituents pay, we get a mere ninety-three cents back. That is unacceptable and a reason why I will always fight to make sure that Suffolk County receives our fair share of federal funding.”
