Miller Place, NY - October 15, 2014 - On Sunday, October 12th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Rocky Point Rotary for the organization’s annual food drive.

The event took place at the Miller Place Stop & Shop where shoppers donated non-perishable food items, paper products, and supermarket vouchers to assist local families in need. All proceeds from the food drive were given to Trinity Lutheran Church pantry in Rocky Point.

“I commend the Rocky Point Rotary for helping our neighbors in need,” said Legislator Anker. “Thanks to the generosity of the community, the upcoming holiday season will be a little brighter for some of our local families.”
