NCPD report the arrest of a Thomas Perotta of Syosset, 24, for DWI that occurred on Monday, September 18, in Bethpage.

Bethpage, NY - September 18, 2017 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Syosset man for Driving While Intoxicated that occurred on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:52 am in Bethpage.
 
According to police, the defendant Thomas Perotta, 24, was driving a 2016 Kia traveling south in the northbound lanes of the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway. While in the vicinity of exit 9 the defendants car did strike a 2007 Toyota causing it to hit a median and was redirected into the woods causing the Toyota to overturn several times. 
 
The 48 year old female driver of the Toyota and her 52 year old male passenger suffered back / neck injuries and were treated for their injuries at a local hospital.  
 
An investigation revealed that the defendant Thomas Perotta was operating his vehicle under the influence of an Alcoholic beverage and was placed into police custody. Perotta suffered minor head trauma and was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a local hospital and is being treated.
 
Thomas Perotta is charged with Driving While Intoxicated 1192.3, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Reckless Driving, and multiple NYS Traffic and Vehicle violations. He will be arraigned when medically practical.
