NCPD report the arrest of Flavia Paulina Munoz Marchant of Maryland, 38, for DWId with two minors in her vehicle on Sunday, April 9, in Port Washington.

Port Washington, NY - April 10, 2017 - The Nassau County Police report the arrest of a Maryland woman for Driving While Intoxicated which occurred on Sunday, April 9, at 5:45 am in Port Washington.
 
According to police, the defendant Flavia Paulina Munoz Marchant, 38, of Point of Rocks, was operating a 2012 Nissan northbound on Port Washington Boulevard and failed to maintain a lane. A subsequent investigation revealed an eight (8) year old passenger and a fifteen (15) year old passenger were in the rear seats. The children were released to their father.
 
The defendant is charged with two (2) counts of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, child under 16, under the Leandra Law, two (2) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stay in a Single Lane.  She will be arraigned April 9, 2017 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
