As we head into August, the summertime fun is showing no signs of slowing down! In-between trips to local beaches and lazy days out at the pool, an unbelievable amount of events are being held to keep the good times flowing. Fairs and Festivals provide a fantastic selection of events from which to plan your month around. As there are events scheduled for every weekend throughout August, there is always a new family outing to look forward to!

Live music is an ideal way to utilize some of that built-up summer energy, so be sure to check out any number of the Outdoor Concerts and Live Performances happening this month. Local towns and organizations have worked hard to ensure that the line-ups for their summer concert series appeal to the widest audiences possible.


For those that are feeling the need to escape from air-conditioned homes, there are some great Nature and Outdoors Events that are both informative and good exercise. Last, but certainly not least, all Long Islanders will be able to eat right this month by stocking up on fruits and vegetables at local Farmers Markets.
