The summer months on Long Island give residents a number of opportunities to admire the beauty of a wide variety of cars at local car shows. Vintage cars, classic cars, muscle cars, sports cars, stock and modified cars all gather in the parking lots of Long Island towns for car lovers, experts and those just looking to enjoy a cool summer night. Car shows often have food, vendors and live music to enjoy while viewing the collections. Check out the following list of car shows happening on Long Island, some of which are weekly meet ups.

 
1. Glen Cove Thursday Night Cruise
Where: Downtown Glen Cove – School Street & Glen Street, Glen Cove – (516) 676-0366
What: Every Thursday night (weather permitting) through September 27 Glen Cove hosts a car show starting at 5pm. The car show is free for spectators and $5 for those looking to enter their car in the show. Proceeds go to benefit the Glen Cove Fire Department. There will be live music on select nights.
 
2. Selden Wednesday Cruise Night
Where: Independence Plaza – Middle Country Road, Selden
What: Every Wednesday night from 5:30pm-9pm Independence Plaza in Selden will be home to the Selden Wednesday Cruise Night. The event is free and will last through October 3.
 
3. 42nd Annual Classic Car Show Charity Fundraiser
Where: Peconic Bay Winery – 31320 Main Road, Cutchogue
What: The Cutchogue Lions Club will hold its 42nd Annual Classic Car Show Charity Fundraiser at the Peconic Bay Winery in Cutchogue on July 8 from 9am to 4pm. Admission is $5 for spectators and $20 for car show participants, $15 if registered by July 2. The rain date is July 15.
 
4. Custom and Classic Charity Car Show for Children’s Cancer Research
Where: Airport Plaza – Route 110, East Farmingdale – (631) 888-0232
What: The 2nd Annual Charity Car Show for the Sunrise Fund for Treatment of Children’s Cancer will be held on July 15, from 8am to 4pm. Admission is free but donations are warmly welcomed. All proceeds will go to the Sunrise Fund at the Stony Brook Hospital. There will be over 400 cars in participations including many custom and antique vehicles.
 
5. Classic Car Show
Where: Bethpage Federal Credit Union – 899 South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage – (516) 849-2465
What: Bethpage Federal Credit Union will be holding a classic car show (sponsored by Coral House and run by Corvette Society and BFCU) on Sunday, July 15, from 9am to 4pm. The event is free and will be featuring live music, DJs, food, vendors and much more!
 
6. Sagtikos Manor’s Annual Classic Car Show
Where: Sagtikos Manor – Montauk Highway and Manor Lane, West Bay Shore – (631) 834-5308
What: Sagtikos Manor will have over one hundred cars on display at its annual classic car show on July 15. The show stars at 11am. Admission is $3 for seniors, students and children 5-11; $5 for adults; and $10 for entry in the car show. There will be an award given for People’s Choice of favorite car.
 
7. Saturday Night Cruise
Where: Stop & Shop – 291 West Main Street, Smithtown
What: The Smithtown Stop & Shop’s parking lot is filled with classic, vintage, muscle and sports cars every Saturday night through October 6. Enjoy music, food and over admiring over 200 cruise night participants.
 
8. New York AutoFest Music Festival
Where: Exotic Classics – 100 Gordon Drive, Syosset – (516) 882-5022
What: The NY AutoFest Music Festival, held on Sunday, July 29, will feature hot rods, classic cars, stock and modified cars, and classic rock music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Car registration is $20. Spectator admission is $5, children 12 and under are free. The festival begins at 8am.
 
9. 3rd Annual Car Show
Where: Fireman’s Memorial Park – Heiling Boulevard and Charles Street, Lindenhurst – (516) 398-6674
What: The Lindenhurst Fire Police Squad is having its 3rd Annual Car Show on Sunday, August 5th, from 9am to 4pm. There will be food, raffles, DJs, live music and more. Admission is $5 for spectators, children under 12 are free. Car pre-registration is $15, $20 day of the show.
 
10. Antique Automobile Show
Where: Hallockville Museum Farm – 6038 Sound Avenue, Riverhead – (631) 298-5292
What: The Peconic Bay Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America will be holding an Antique Automobile Show on September 30 from 10am to 4pm at the Hallockville Museum Farm. Rain date is October 7.
