LONG ISLAND, N.Y.- The Sachem Public Library received 160 books from a recent Maid Brigade book drive to help encourage reading among the community's youth and boost children's literacy.
Maid Brigade's maid services customers left books out on their day of service and members of the community also dropped off books for donation at Maid Brigade's local office in Suffolk County.
The books donated will reach area residents for generations. Sachem Public Library offers a wide variety of activities for children and teens including story times, arts and crafts, chess lessons and homework help.
