Nassau PD Announces Recovery of Thousands of Stolen Catalytic Converters, $4 Million in Currency Seized

The Public Information Office reports on an investigation into stolen catalytic converters that have occurred throughout the County of Nassau.
 
According to Police, the Nassau County Police Asset Forfeiture and Intelligence Unit, in conjunction with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Postal Inspectors Service conducted the investigation. 
 
On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, numerous search warrants were executed in Nassau County. This led to approximately $4,000,000.00 in US Currency and several bank accounts to be seized; along with thousands of Catalytic Converters, five decanting machines, electronic equipment and three vehicles. 
 
The investigation is ongoing.
