Nassau County PD Arrests Two Men for Several Robberies

Two men have been arrested in connection to a series of robberies that took place in March.

Queens Village, NY - December 11, 2013 - The Robbery Squad reports the arrests of two Queens Village men for several Robberies that occurred between March 25, 2013 and March 29, 2013 in Nassau County.
 
According to detectives, defendants Ravinder Dharamshot, 32, 8932 Lyman Street and Umair Farooq, 24, 62-89 214th Street, did commit the following robberies:
 
  • US Gas 248-02 Jericho Turnpike, Bellerose Village – March 25, 2013 at 12:30 AM.
  • BP Gas 2298 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park – March 26, 2013 at 3:35 AM.
  • Mobil Gas 1021 Northern Boulevard, Manhasset – March 28, 2013 at 3:15 AM.
  • Shell Gas 220 Mineola Avenue, Roslyn Heights – March 28, 2013 at 3:35 AM.
  • USA Gas 356 Fulton Street, Farmingdale – March 29, 2013 at 3:25 AM.
  • Exxon Gas 3285 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown – March 29, 2013 at 3:37 AM.
 
 
After an investigation the defendants were arrested on December 11, 2013 at Rikers Island Correctional Facility. Both defendants are charged with 5 counts of Robbery 1st Degree, 1 count of Attempted Robbery 1st Degree, 5 counts of Robbery 3rd Degree and 1 count of Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree.  They were arraigned on December 11, 2013 at Nassau County Court, 262 Old Country Road, Mineola.
