Nassau Police Seeking Suspect Who Fired Multiple Shots at Victim in Elmont

According to officials, a male victim was standing by his vehicle when an unknown male discharged multiple rounds toward the victim, striking his vehicle.

Elmont, NY - November 28, 2017 - The Fifth Squad is investigating an incident of Reckless Endangerment that occurred on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 11:19 pm in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, the male victim, 40, exited his Hoffman Avenue residence and walked toward his 1998 Subaru. The victim proceeded to start his vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, he decided not to leave and exited the Subaru. 
 
The victim began to walk back to his residence, when he observed an unknown male standing behind a neighbor’s bush. The male displayed a handgun and discharged multiple rounds toward the victim. The victim’s vehicle was struck multiple times. The subject fled on foot through the neighboring yard. 
 
The suspect is described as a male black, approximately 5’10”, average build and wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt.
