Nassau Police Bust Man in Hicksville With Possession of Heroin, Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a man during a Narcotics Investigation that occurred on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 6:08 pm in Hicksville.
 
According to detectives, Narcotics/Vice Squad, assisted by officers from the Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT), executed a search warrant at 22 Apollo Lane.  Detectives arrested Mario Santo of 22 Apollo Lane, Hicksville. Defendant Santo was found to be in possession of 28 glassine envelopes containing a white powdery substance believed to be heroin and 15 small clear bags containing an off-white rocklike substance believed to be crack cocaine.
 
As a result of the search warrant, detectives recovered 213 glassine envelopes containing a white powdery substance believed to be heroin and fentanyl, 50 small clear plastic bags containing an off-white rock-like substance believed to be crack cocaine, U.S. currency and drug paraphernalia.
 
Defendant Mario Santo is charged with four (4) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, November 21, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
Defendant Mario Santo was previously arrested on July 30, 2022 and released without bail for five (5) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree.
