Nassau SPCA: Uniondale Woman Charged with Starving and Torturing Two Dogs

Nassau SPCA announces the arrest of Chontrelle Stroman of Uniondale, 35, for Torturing Animals.

Uniondale, NY - November 13, 2018 - The Nassau County SPCA announces the arrest of a Uniondale woman for Torturing or Injuring Animals/Failure to Provide Sustenance, a misdemeanor.
 
On October 16, 2018, a Nassau County SPCA Detective visited a Uniondale home and found two dogs. One dog was found deceased in plastic container in the back yard and the other dog was found to be extremely emaciated. The live dog was removed for medical evaluation and the other dog was also removed removed for necropsy.
  
Nassau County SPCA detectives conducted an investigation and yesterday arrested Chontrelle Stroman, 35, of Uniondale for Torturing or Injuring Animals/Failure to Provide Sustenance.
 
Mrs Stroman was processed by the Nassau County District Attorney's Animal Crimes Unit. She will be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
