The Third Squad reports the details of a Grand Larceny that occurred on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:37 am in East Garden City.
According to detectives, an unknown male subject walked into the Macy’s department store located at 630 Old Country Road in the Roosevelt Field Mall and entered the jewelry department. The male subject then struck the glass counter top and reached into the display case, removing 3 diamond necklaces worth approximately $30,000.00 US currency before fleeing the store.
The subject is described as a male black, approximately 25 years old, 5’7” tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black face mask, white gloves and black sneakers with a white sole.
The investigation is ongoing.
