Legislator Anker Recognizes Coram Firefighters for Military Service

Suffolk County Leg. Anker joined the Coram Fire Department at their monthly meeting to honor the firefighters who protect our community and have also dedicated numerous years to serving in our country’s armed forces.

Coram, NY - November 4, 2016 - On Tuesday, November 1st, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Coram Fire Department at their monthly meeting to honor the firefighters who protect our community and have also dedicated numerous years to serving in our country’s armed forces. Through Suffolk County’s Veteran Recognition Program, Legislator Anker awarded pins to the following veterans: Raymond Dion (Army), Philip Celella (Army), Jordan Marks (Army), James R. Dowling (Air Force and Army), George Povey (Navy), Carlo Giordano (Army), Frank McCoy (Army), Walter Green (Army), Zach Howard (Army), George Butler (Navy), Robert Laureano (Navy), David Xavier (Coast Guard), Peter Covati (Army), Jay Dalton (Navy), and Charlie Stadier (Army).

“I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Coram Fire Department for their hard work and dedication to our community,” said Legislator Anker. “And a special thanks to the veterans who have served our country in the armed forced and continue their dedication serving in the fire department.”

The Coram Fire Department is a volunteer based organized that is located at 303 Route 25 in Coram. It has approximately 120 volunteer firefighters and 3 stations.  For more information, please call the fore department at 631-732-5733.
