NCPD Reports Robbery Attempt in Massapequa

A stores was robbed by a man holding a machete.

Massapeuqa, NY - October 18, 2014 - The Seventh Squad is investigating an Attempted Robbery that occurred in Massapequa on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 4:39 am.
 
According to detectives, a 36 year old male sales clerk was working in the rear of Seven Eleven located at 4222 Sunrise Highway when he was approached by an unknown male subject. The subject displayed a machete and demanded money. The clerk then pointed at the window and yelled that the police are coming. The subject then fled out the door on foot and was observed heading south on Hicksville Road. There were no proceeds. There were no injuries reported.
 
The subject is described as male, white, 5’7” to 5’10” tall, ripped dark sweatshirt with “Farmingdale” lettering, black ski mask, grey pants, white sneakers.
