Franklin Square, NY - October 5, 2018 - Assemblyman Ed Ra (R-Franklin Square) is pleased to announce he collected 2,201 pounds of supplies at his second annual Summer Food Drive to End Hunger, co-hosted with Long Island Cares & King Kullen. The event was held on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16 at King Kullen in Franklin Square from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All supplies and food collected will go towards local food pantries and shelters across Long Island to help families in need.

“No one should ever have to question where their next meal will come from or if they can afford basic hygiene products,” said Ra. “I am so pleased with the amount we have collected to help families in need on Long Island. I thank my neighbors for their generosity in supporting our drive. I look forward to continuing to work with Long Island Cares and King Kullen to host this food drive for many years to come.”
